Each workshop is $25/hr per person. Group rates are available.
Length of workshops vary based on content. Some will be broken up into multiple Zoom sessions, so students can complete homework.
When Digital Meets Fiber
This coaching workshop is intended to help students explore the world of creating and printing digital imagery. Practice collages will be made and uploaded to the student’s favorite phone/tablet app. An assessment checklist tool will be introduced to help students identify which type of fabric and digital printing technique they should consider using for their project. Favorite apps, tips, techniques and printing websites will be shared by the instructor

Pre-work:
Must have a phone/tablet with a camera. A favorite photo app preloaded on the phone/tablet is helpful.
Skill Level: All. Must be comfortable will using phone/tablet apps
Length of Workshop: 2 hours in 1 Zoom session
The
Girls
Using a simple doll pattern, this skill building workshop teaches students how to build a cloth doll.
You will learn:
About patterns along with the art of turning and stuffing body parts.
Needle sculpting basics.
Why and how embellishments are important when conveying meaning.
About the common tools and resources used by other cloth art doll creators.
The Girls pattern and materials list is provided by instructor.
Zoom sessions include time for students to ask questions and show their progress
Pre-work:
Body parts must be sewn together before class Instructions, for pre-work, will be provided
Skill Level: All. knowledge of basic sewing skill is necessary
Length of Workshop: 4 hours in 2 Zoom sessions, 2 hours each session
